A *big* congratulations goes out to Kristopher Tate today. Kristopher registered us for Start Up Camp this year and in competing against about 30 other start ups, for the past two days at the Computer History Museum, Zooomr won 1st place in the the Start Up Camp competition.
Kristopher won a super high end Sun Microsystems work station as well as a 24″ LCD monitor. We will most likely be using the work station for yet another server in our growing server farm (5 servers to date).
Thanks to Start Up Camp for putting on a great two day conference and thanks to Sun Microsystems for the prize.
Kristopher, I’m really proud of you man — Zooomr is something really great and it’s amazing that you, our only developer, have created something so very cool. More than thanks to you though I have to thank our users. Without all of you Zooomr would not be possible. I can’t tell you how many times today while we were demoing Zooomr, I showed off with pride my own personal favorite photos on Zooomr.
It’s because of you and all your great photography that Zooomr exists at all. Thanks much for all who have contributed to Zooomr and stay tuned, the best is yet to come.
I was also so super impressed with the other start ups at Start Up Camp. I saw some really great technology today and heard some great ideas for companies. Keep up the good work all!
Congrats on the win!
Thomas, I know this isn’t the best place to ask a question but I can’t find any other place to ask about Zooomr. You gave a link to your favorite photos. When I visit that page, I can click on any of the photos, but then I have to go back to the original page to get to the next photo. Is there any way to view your favorites sequentially?
Thanks…
