Two Great New Photography Videos by Marc Silber

Marc Silber is out with two great new photographer video interviews.

The first video is a short one with pro photographer Chase Jarvis who talks about how important it is to just get out and take photos with your camera, no matter what your skill level and that it’s fine to simply shoot in program mode if you don’t know what you are doing. Too many people who take up digital photographer become intimidated by the complicated technology that sometimes comes along with the DSLR and photo processing world. Chase reminds us that far more important than any of the tech or nerd stuff is simply that you are out there with any camera framing images.

The second video interview is a longer one and is with Senior Surfing Magazine Staff Photographer Jeff Flindt. Jeff is credited with 20 surfing cover shots for various surfing magazines. Surf photography is a whole genre in itself and it’s great learning about how Jeff has succeeded in that arena.

Zoom In Online Launching New Photography Video Show Viewfinders

The video above is a sneak preview clip of a new photography video series being produced by Zoom In Online. Zoom In Online is an excellent photography news and resource site and I’m excited to learn today about the new video series that they will be launching.

For their first video episode, Zoom In Online interviews photojournalist Keith Bedford. Bedford covered the Obama campaign from its beginning all the way through to election night as a professional photojournalist. Some of the images of the campaign in the sneak preview video above are fantastic, really strong reportage.

The new show officially premieres on February 1st. Congrats Sophia on the new series!

I love seeing more professionally created photography video series showing up online. My Pal Marc Silbur also recently just launched his new video series Photoshow as well. I blogged about that a few weeks ago. I did an interview with Marc while shooting the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco that you will be able to see there in the near future.

Marc Silber Interviews Pro Photographer Chase Jarvis for New Photography Video Series Photo Show

Photographer Marc Silber has a new photography related video series out called Photo Show. The show’s tagline is: “Interviews, Tips and Insight from the World’s Best Photographers,” and he’s got an interview up today with Seattle based pro photographer Chase Jarvis that is well worth watching. You might remember Chase from the promo video that Nikon did with him last Fall showcasing their D90 camera, one of the first digital SLRs to shoot video.

I’m really excited to see Marc out there doing a photography video show because I don’t think that there are enough photography related video shows on the web. The quality of his show is very professional and he’s getting some great guests.

Marc and his crew recently filmed an interview with me on San Francisco’s Baker Beach shooting the Golden Gate Bridge that should be up at some point in the future as well. Marc, Robert Scoble, and I also went up to Yosemite last year and got to spend some time with Ansel Adams’ son Michael. Marc also has a video of his interview with Michael Adams about his dad’s photography here.

Congrats on the great interview Marc and looking forward to many great episodes of Photo Show in the month ahead.
