Why did you title Mr. Toad's Wild Ride as Mr. Toad's Dark Ride? I love that ride :(

pretty sweet, makes me want to go this weekend. every time i've been, the "it's a small world" ride has been down :/

Mr. Toad's Dark Ride is entitled such because it's really dark in the ride. Some rides are better than others when it comes to light in the attraction for shooting non flash photography in the ride itself. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is one of the only rides that is so dark that I was unable to photograph much of the inside of the ride itself. It goes fast which isn't bad, but when shooting auto focus it is simply too dark for the camera to grasp images in the low light environment.

Some of the newer rides like Buzz Light Year and Winnie the Pooh are extremely bright rides with large florescent images that are easily photographed in comparison. Other rides are a mixed bag. Haunted House and Pirates of the Caribbean are dark but still work for in ride photography. It's a Small World has excellent lighting. Of all the rides I went on though Mr. Toad has the least amount of light in the ride itself -- hence Mr. Toad's Dark Ride.

Well, that and it seemed the ride had a lot to do with hell.

Remarkable photos! I can't think of a better visual storyboard of the Disney experience than this collection...

When you think of memories from Disneyland or Disneyworld, they are always moments frozen in time - and you captured those visual memories so well... Kudos!

I think your pictures are amazing. You have combined two of my very favorite things, photography and Disneyland! I can't wait to go again and take a million pictures. These make me want to find the art as opposed to the traditional this-is-me-and-my-friends picture. Thanks.

I hope you read this Thomas! I have to say I'm REALLY impressed with your pictures and it almost brought a tear to my eye because these were taken on my very first day of work at Disneyland. The arm of the Captain on the Mark Twain is mine. The other two captains in the wheelhouse are my trainer and another girl I trained with. I never did get a photo taken of me in the wheelhouse when i worked there and I was hoping that if you have any others were I'm more visible, it would make me so happy if you posted them...I miss my days there and I appreciate this little flashback :). Thanks.

Tell me, you must..

Did you have any favorite vantage points for parade and firework viewing?

Self portrait1 is fascinating. What the?
