Hej,
these are very fine photos! I like watching them and remember my days in some themeparks back then 🙂
Hope you had fun beeing there!
Why did you title Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride as Mr. Toad’s Dark Ride? I love that ride 🙁
pretty sweet, makes me want to go this weekend. every time i’ve been, the “it’s a small world” ride has been down :/
Mr. Toad’s Dark Ride is entitled such because it’s really dark in the ride. Some rides are better than others when it comes to light in the attraction for shooting non flash photography in the ride itself. Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride is one of the only rides that is so dark that I was unable to photograph much of the inside of the ride itself. It goes fast which isn’t bad, but when shooting auto focus it is simply too dark for the camera to grasp images in the low light environment.
Some of the newer rides like Buzz Light Year and Winnie the Pooh are extremely bright rides with large florescent images that are easily photographed in comparison. Other rides are a mixed bag. Haunted House and Pirates of the Caribbean are dark but still work for in ride photography. It’s a Small World has excellent lighting. Of all the rides I went on though Mr. Toad has the least amount of light in the ride itself — hence Mr. Toad’s Dark Ride.
Well, that and it seemed the ride had a lot to do with hell.
rancid and rocket from the crypt?
Rockets but with lots of camera movement, photo noise and distortion — borrowed from Mary Lou Lord.
WoW this is Art, Thanks for the trip.
Wow! I hadn’t been to Disneyland since the 60’s, but I could hear the screams and music and feel the wind in my face! So much action in your beautiful photos! Good job! Thanks for sharing! My grandchildren will love this and we’ll be headed there soon.
Remarkable photos! I can’t think of a better visual storyboard of the Disney experience than this collection…
When you think of memories from Disneyland or Disneyworld, they are always moments frozen in time – and you captured those visual memories so well… Kudos!
Thanks for sharing. What camera do you use for your photographs?
It’s a Canon EOS 10D.
you are my hero. thank you for preserving the magic.
I like tinkerbell <(^.^)>
I accidentally came across your site and just wanted to say that your pictures are brilliant and beautiful and the colors so vivid… nice job! My family and I were just there and my pictures are not even half as nice. Must be my camera! 🙂

Wonderful pictures! Thank you for sharing them.
I think your pictures are amazing. You have combined two of my very favorite things, photography and Disneyland! I can’t wait to go again and take a million pictures. These make me want to find the art as opposed to the traditional this-is-me-and-my-friends picture. Thanks.
lovely photos, taking my 2 girls age 7 and 1 to Disneyland april 06, we have always been to Disneyworld so nice to see the difference in such a lovely way. Can’t wait to get there now! SHC.GB
I really loved your pictures! Some fantastic angle work. Thanks for sharing…We’re on our way to the World next month. I hope I can get some shots half as good as these!
Good work, my friend. Lovely pics and very evocative.
Thank you so much for putting these great pics on ur site. I was looking for images for my project on google, and i clicked on one that was on ur site and ive printed out most of them. They are bright and colorful and flashy– perfect for a board display on walt disney. Thanks
very nice pics, I am amazed that the quality of your pics, I LOVE DISNEYLAND and you have captured, not only memories, but it was as if I was there again, thank you
I’ve never been to Disneyland, but your photos gave me a beautiful “virtual visit”. What stunning images! I’ll officially be a ‘senior’ in three years – maybe that’s how I’ll celebrate. It’s never too late to visit Disneyland, is it?
It seems like you really anjoyed yourself.. You captured the magic so well! Good work.
AMAZING pictures…my favourite would be tinkerbell (that’s how i came across the site- i was searching for pictures of tinkerbell). Now im dying to go there…i cant see why they call it the happiest place on earth!
those pictures are absolutly gourgeous. youve got talent!
wow…. i am such a huge disney fan… i was planning on going to disneyland next spring and now im totally inspired to take my nice camera and photograph it for real. these pictures are beautiful. i randomly stumbled upon this site and it made me soo happy.

🙂
Your photos are fantastic! It made
me look at Disneyland in a whole new light. I would love to be as creative to take photos such as these. Awesome job!
Great pictures, i especially like the teacups at night with the swirling lights. you got some pics that i wasn’t able to capture when i was there. hope it’s ok if i add them to my photo album!
Very nice photography. I take a lot of pictures at the Disneyland Resort and I find these very inspiring.
I LOVE!!! YOUR PICS =]
GREAT PICTURES, such vibrant color. I used to work at Disneyland and you captured the magic with your photos, GOOD JOB!
I hope you read this Thomas! I have to say I’m REALLY impressed with your pictures and it almost brought a tear to my eye because these were taken on my very first day of work at Disneyland. The arm of the Captain on the Mark Twain is mine. The other two captains in the wheelhouse are my trainer and another girl I trained with. I never did get a photo taken of me in the wheelhouse when i worked there and I was hoping that if you have any others were I’m more visible, it would make me so happy if you posted them…I miss my days there and I appreciate this little flashback :). Thanks.
I spent three months last year living just blocks from disneyland and visiting every chance I got. Looking through your photos was a wonderful trip through some wonderful memeories thanks.
As I take my 10 yr old to his first trip to Disneyland in July, I appreciated this on many levels.
Tell me, you must..
Did you have any favorite vantage points for parade and firework viewing?
