Boing Boing: High-res Bill of Rights, Constitution, Declaration of Independance Boing Boing has a post on a high res version of both the Declaration of Independance and the Constitution that are online now.
And in other news, the MPAA has already sent the offending website a cease and desist letter. While both documents can be downloaded for personal use once, they cannot be copied due to DRM restrictions put into the original image by Microsoft. And Metalica has currently issued a plea on their band website for people to NOT download the image as it only supports piracy and hurts new and upcoming struggling bands, artists and writers. Meanwhile Apple is offering up a much lower res version for download on iTunes for $1.99 and SBC is offering it via cell phone for $3.75 a copy. Bill Cosby’s lawyers have also expressed concern. And an even more bizare footnote, NBC has sued uTube over the document and it isn’t even hosted there.
Just kidding, right?
