I spent the afternoon today out at Fillmore Street between Broadway and Union St. in San Francisco watching some of the top skiers and snowboarders including Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley do jumps down off one of the steepest streets in San Francisco. The event was somewhat controversial in the City and almost didn’t happen but in the end it was a great opportunity to see what is certainly a first and perhaps last historic ski jump event in San Francisco. For my Flickr set of the entire event click here. The San Francisco Chronicle covers the event here. Big Empty has an even better Flickr set than mine here.
