Notes from the Lab: The Home Theater PC Quandary: The studios, broadcasters and other content providers are deathly afraid that we’ll happily record all our content, load the recorded DVDs into our trench coats and sell them on the streets. Never mind that DVD sales are still growing, and never mind that TV programming I might want to watch later may never be rebroadcast. Since I want to record the content, I must, by their logic, be a potential thief. The studios, it seems, view their customers as enemies.
