US Secret Service “Asks” Photographer to Delete Photo – Stadium Visitor Told To Hit Delete Button

9 News Now reports on a “request” by the US Secret Service for a photgrapher to delete an image of a stadium security gate from his digital camera.

    I don’t blame the guy for deleting them, as you’re rarely going to win that battle on the street. But always be sure to save that card for later! Would have loved to see the snapshot of that checkpoint on the front page of 9 News!

    I believe they would need a search warrant to seize it.

    If I’m ever cornered into such a situation, I will remember that it is trivial to “undelete” a photo from a memory card if you haven’t written anything to it since the deletion.

    This is where it starts and ends. Does one have the courage of one’s convictions to say no! Is it foolhardy to stand on such a principle issue?

    John Adams did and that’s the foundation we all stand on. The question is who is going to risk the possible turmoil and life changing circumstances by doing so? The imponderables make or break greatness.
