Total Lunar Eclipse, Rare Red Moon Tonight 3:37am on the West Coast

Moon Over the San Fernando Valley

San Jose Mercury News – Lunar eclipse: A red moon on the rise Over on Zipline cmiper tipped me off to a pretty rare thing tonight for people on the West Coast. A total lunar eclipse tonight that should produce a coppery red hue on the moon tonight. Unfortunately, the best view would appear to be at around 3:37 a.m. So we might see who the really diehard moon photographers are. I’m hoping I’m going to be able to drag my ass out of bed for this one.

A chart here on when to watch the eclipse in different time zones.

Discuss shooting the eclipse tonight on Zooomr here.
