Doug, as far as I know when you post something to a community it shows in that community stream, and also on your profile, but does not go out to your contacts in *their* stream as your work. I don’t know of any other way to do this other than post the image twice. This is an unfortunate limitation that I hope Google considers. Personally I think we should have the option of posting something already in our stream to a community and having it go there.

I haven’t tried the +community tool yet. Not sure on that, maybe somebody else knows.

Two questions that maybe you can help me with, Thomas.

1. Is there a way to post an image once and have it appear in a community and in your public stream? So far I’ve always had to post the image twice.

2. I can’t generate a pretty link to the Fungus Friday community. When I type “+Fungus Friday” in a post, it offers me the choice of the Fungus Friday *page*, which is not the same as the FF Community. A few days ago, I could have sworn the + option worked, but not today.

I do feel the “whole” photography population is less bonded now with communities. I guess it’s a trade-off because I do like communities … but it’s a little sad. Of course, maybe it will improve after the holidays are over. I think a lot of people are like me right now … trying to do bazillions of things at once.
