A Short Video With Photographer Joel Meyerowitz

Photographer Joel Meyerowitz is one of the most successful living fine art photographers working in the world today. He recently exhibited a show titled “Retrospective” at the Hôtel des Arts, in France. This video was made of him by Institut für Kunstdokumentation when he was setting up that exhibit. It’s a short video and well worth checking out if you are interested in fine art or amazing street photography by one of the world’s greatest masters.

    I love his work and video is inspirational. My favorite is how he said that he “opened up” the frame. That man is a genius. Thanks for the vid.

  2. For everybody coming to Arles this year, this will be a good way to spend the time prior to the opening week of the Rencontres. Toulon isn’t really that far away. I, at least, am aspiring to visit the retrospective.

    Joel was my first favorite fine art photographer (after Ansel) I found his book “Cape Light” 15 years ago that he shot on 8×10 and it’s wicked gorgeous and worth checking out- changed my life!
