Sample Video on the New Canon 5D Mark II Looks Damn Good

REVERIE is an independently-produced video by Vincent Laforet shot using a new Canon 5D Mark II.

Laforet was loaned a new Canon 5D Mark II in order to make the video and produced it over a 72 hour period. Obviously a bit of production went into this video but Canon claims that, “the files used to create this video were not manipulated in any way.”

This is pretty high quality video and I’m pretty excited to begin playing around with this kind of functionality once the 5D is out and available for purchase.

I wonder how many people will purchase based on that video?

There’s a huge distance between what one can do with that cam – and what a sophisticated and talented *crew* with access to special hardware (gyro mounts for example), platforms, and lots of $$$$$, etc can produce.
