Someone needs to contact this woman and get the phone number and/or information on how to sign. She has at some point seemingly had Christopher Springer's contact information, which has been removed along with Springer's signature from the document scanned, which was sent to Ms. Toni Melton:

Someone from California please contact her and find out how to sign:

Toni Melton
Initiative Coordinator
Office of the Attorney General
State of California
1300 I Street
Sacramento, CA 95814

This is the general contact number listed for the A.G. Office, perhaps you can reach her through this:

(916) 322-3360

If you find anything out make sure to post it and get people's attention! Good luck Californians!

--

Furthermore, I am in no way a legal expert on these things but in theory one should be able to send signatures in once the proposal has been made public, no? It may be as simple as sending a list of signatures in to the attorney general's office regardless of getting in contact with Mr. Springer. I'll look into that more in the next day or two. If this is the case then a movement to get signatures can be organized quickly and immediately (within the next week or two).

Incidentally did you know that the only major study in the UK on the effects drink, drugs and tiredness has on driving, found that marijuana smokers were the safest drivers on the road.

If I remember rightly, this was because sober drivers almost always over estimate their driving skills. Add alcohol and they believe they are the next Micheal Schumacher. Stoned drivers on the other hand appreciated the detrimental effects that cannabis had on their ability to drive, and drove accordingly.

I do remember a police officer being quoted as saying that pot smokers are the easiest to spot at night. They are the ones obeying the speed limit.

Not that any of this should be taken as my support for driving under the influence of anything, btw. It was just an aside...
