    I’m concerned about the lawsuit filed against the photographer refusing a job. As a photographer, I may not be against this particular job, but I could imagine another one that I would want to refuse. I should have the right to do my own work, not be forced to do any kind of job and be a defacto supporter of someone else’s political speech.

    Tim, if I read the article right I think the basis was that the refusal to shoot was based on legal protection granted to people in New Mexico based on sexual orientation.

    I think in that sense it would be like if a wedding photographer said he/she didn’t want to shoot someone because they were black.

    I think that in New Mexico photographers can turn down jobs if they want, just maybe not based on certain protected statuses.

    Doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of information out on this case though.
