Note, that was the double Royale with Cheese. the regular is a svelt 540 calories. Both of which gain 170 calories each from the bun! what is in that bun!

Alos, no picky on the chocolate shake alone. The Strawberry and the Vanilla have 1110 calories also.

Now that is a buzz kill... my meal of choice (when I have to go, due to kids) is 2300+ calories! for one meal! ! ! now that is a pretty picture.

Jack in the Box used to have a burger called "The Collosus" which had a couple patties, several slices of cheese and a pile of bacon (if I remember correctly). At one point I had looked up its nutritional information, but it was over 10 years ago so I've forgotten it. But I DO quite vividly remember one of my friends eating it over an empty soda cup to collect the grease drippings. The cup was a little over a quarter of the way full by the end of the meal, and he ate quickly.

I find it interesting that the Double Quarter Pounder tops the fat count for McDonalds and doesn't even come with mayo on it. (Dropping the mayo is usually the quickest way to reduce the fat count on any burger.)

I love the list you put together. I am a food and nutrition teacher and it is always interesting to show students information such as what you collected. I know once I show the list many of my students may think twice about what they are ordering or even where they are going to eat.

Very interesting post, really enjoyed reading it. I rarely eat fast food at all , I'm just a big fan of In 'n Out and Taco bell, luckily only one showed up on the hall of shame and it's one I don't even order.

After Wendy's announced their Baconator, I did a similar comparison, but for a whole meal. I think the worst I could find ended up being from Carl's, where a burger, fries, cookie, and shake added up to over 3,000 calories.
This is a good reminder to stay away from the fast food....although I agree that you gotta have a Tommy's burger when you are in LA.
