Zooomr Mark III Migration Begins Today

[I am CEO of Zooomr]

I’m very excited to be able to announce that today we are beginning our migration over to our next major version of Zooomr, Zooomr Mark III. Kristopher Tate (our founder and sole developer) has spent hours and hours and hours, day and night, over the course of the past six months getting this next version ready for everyone to enjoy. Check out a video of Kristopher’s announcement here.

We have taken thousands of feedback emails, zmails, comments and observations from all of you to make this the best version of Zooomr yet.

Zooomr Mark III marks an important milestone in the history of Zooomr. It is the first release to offer a more developed platform of social tools and it also marks our entry into the stock photography business.

The migration of the existing site to Mark III is happening over the next 48 hours. We hope to have the new site live on Thursday, March 15.

I’m going to be blogging a lot about Mark III over the course of the next few days.

Thanks to everyone for your support over the course of the past few months and for making Zooomr such a great experience for all of us.

Thanks to Chris Nixon for posting our new release on digg. You can digg it here if you want.

Can’t wait! I’ve got a truckload of new pictures to upload.

Congrats to you and Kris: birthing this thing must’ve taken a lot out of you two. 😉

How wonderfully ironic that you guys relaunch at the same time Flickr is faltering.

    Jolly good luck! 😉

As a paying Flickr customer, I look forward to seeing what this new version of Zooomr looks like as the old ones didn’t particularly impress me enough to switch.
