Thanks for the heads up on this, Tom.

One thing that struck me as very odd though, while I was fixing my SafeSearch setting:

http://www.flickr.com/account/

Right at the top:

"Your account has been reviewed as safe by Flickr staff. (What does that mean?)"

Has that always been there? Seems new.

Now instead of individual photos being marked NIPSA, the contents of entire accounts will be removed from public search? Seems like a bit of a scorched earth policy to me.

Hi Stewart and thanks for stopping by. Interesting clarification and thanks for making it.

Of course although Simplified Chinese is primarily used in mainline China while Traditional Chinese is used in Hong Kong and Taiwan (Zooomr offers both), many people in mainland China can read Traditional Chinese so I bet you still get some people from mainland China on your site.

We’ve never “announced plans to enter China” and don’t currently have any plans to offer Flickr in mainland China – it’s not on the roadmap.
