Flickr Has 7 Million Registered Users, To Localize in Traditional Chinese, French, German and Spanish by Year End

Flickr to launch Chinese-language version by end of 2007 In comments made to journalists in Taipei during a recent visit, Flickr Chief Stewart Butterfield said that Flickr would launch traditional Chinese, French, German and Spanish versions of Flickr by the end of 2007 according to the DigiTimes.

Additionally, for the first time I’ve seen in print yet, Flickr indicated that they now have seven million registered users. Flickr recently crossed the 400 millionth photograph online milestone.

    Interesting. Big deal about languages? Simpy (not in the photo business) has 9 languages so far, and the service is a side project for one guy.
