I have paid for and am now waiting for one of the first Mark III's to arrive in Chicago. I literally was the first to get a 5D in the midwest area from what Canon told me so I am confident it will be a similar situation with the Mark III. I just sold my Mark II N a couple of months ago, which was in brand new condition mind you, for $4k. Not bad, huh? :) Anyway, I am sure this camera is going to exceed the already remarkable II N's performance and should be a blazingly fast and durable camera for the price. I am anxiously awaiting and will fill you in when it arrives.

Hey, "TranceMist", great idea. Then you can wait longer for what ever feature is in the 1d MkVI to trickle down. Have fun waiting champ.

Personally, I'll wait until they can manage to get all of that in a form factor that doesn't have that ugly bulk at the bottom (i.e. more like the 30D/5D body).

The Rebel XTi already has the anti-dust feature so I think it will be built into future Canon dslr cameras.

So much to drool over... If it'd been full frame I'd have been first in line. But I'm too addicted to my 24/1.4 on FF in dark clubs.

I'm very curious too see if the sensor has a genuine 1-stop increase in shadow speed, or if it's mostly just cranking up the analog gain even more. If there's a real full stop gain that might just be too much to pass up, even on a crop camera.

I'm also really hoping Canon has finally built a camera that can take advantage of faster Extreme III -class CF cards--Nikon managed this how many months ago in the D2X?

Personally, I'm waiting for an update to the 5D before I move up from my 30D. I want a full frame sensor and the anti-dust technology that Canon has implemented on their last two SLR bodies (XTi & 1D Mark III).

Rich
