Thank you, Greg. That's my major beef with Zooomr as well. If I log in and then have to quit my browser, I want to STILL be logged in when I restart my browser. I don't want to have to log in over and over and over and over.

I went for several weeks without logging in to Zooomr, and it took me half an hour to figure out what my login was! In the process I think I registered a new account!

This is what I love about Flickr: it's SIMPLE. I log in, and then I don't have to worry about it. If, for whatever reason, I get logged out, it's in Firefox's autofill.

OpenID is an interesting idea, but I just don't feel the need for it. Firefox is capable of remembering all my logins and passwords for me if I tell it to, and since I don't usually vary my login/password by a whole lot from site to site, I don't have much difficulty remembering on my own.

OpenID seems like a solution in search of a problem.

This is what I don't like about zoomr. I don't remember my OpenID because its a URL and my browser doesn't autofill it.

It's probably the main reason I don't use zoomr.

Every time I hear about identity on the web, I'm reminded of Dick Hardt's "Identity 2.0" presentation at OSCON...

http://www.identity20.com/media/OSCON2005/

Totally nails the problems with identity, etc.
