Pictobrowser is Very Slick Indeed
Kevin Dugan tipped me off to this super cool new Flickr toy called Pictobrowser. Pictobrowser allows you for the first time to blog not just photos from Flickr, but sets of photos from Flickr. What you see above is my Super Favs set from Flickr, shots of mine that have been favorited 25 times or more on the site.
If you want to go through these photos one at a time you can just click on the photo you are viewing and it will jump to the next photo.
Diego Bauducco developed the tool. It is flash based and represents a way for the first time that I’ve seen yet that an individual can browse an entire set on your site without every having to leave your site.
In the past, while Flickr would generate html code for you to blog individual photos, there was no visual way to blog sets or albums of photos. And yet sometimes an album is something that you are more interested in sharing than a single photo.
Nice work Diego. This is a cool and fun toy to have indeed.
