I think Zooomr is dead. This blog post says jUploader is the offical bulk uploader, but I just downloaded it to try it and it doesn't work. Then I started looking at the comments on th jUploader site, and evidently Zooomr broke it on their end, and still has not fixed it.

I thought Zooomr might be a nice (free) alternative to Flickr, but I guess you get what you pay for.

The reason I started looking for something other than Zooomrs built in flash based uploader in the first place is because it doesn't even support resizing! I have to upload all my 6MB pictures as-is, which takes a long long time.

I'd really like to test JUPloader too, I have nearly a thousand photos to upload and would love to use the bulk uploader. I use OSX and my email address is alex @ (that website my name links to)

steve & thom,

i'm definitely down to do this. i've used jUploadr a few times when i signed up for flickr awhile back, but have been using zooomr since earlier this year and have been waiting for an uploader for it.
i have a strong background in application development in several oo programming and scripting languages (java, c++, c#, javascript, python, php) and am familiar with application updates through HTTP/HTTPS in java and python.
I have done development over win2k/xp, linux (debian/ubuntu), and mac osX on ppc and soon to intel machines.
if you need any further information, you can contact me @ dev..at..jadecell..dot..com (minus the '..' of course)

-z

I'd love to help with this project. My test environments include linux, xp, and 2k. See my recent post on the flickr forums regarding my bug reporting ability (and why I'm so anxious to switch).

http://www.flickr.com/forums/bugs/25449

:: Adora
:: adora [at] techslut [.] net

Do you guys have a tool section? Shouldn't you?

This is good news I was just think last night how much I HATE the zooomr upload process vs the applet I have being using for Gallery2 for forever. It's just plain maddening to have to brows through pictures with the awful windows explorer as apposed to just dragging from a half way decent app like ACDsee pro.
I would say getting this into production should be a top priority.
