It's called fair use. It's a concept that says that we can time shift TV and watch it on other devices for personal use. This was settled a long time back with Sony's Betamaxx. Although many content creators would prefer selling you the same content over and over and over again, there is nothing illegal about my taking TV I record and shifting it to other devices I, or those in my immediate household, own.<br /><br />And trust me. The itunes movie store is a choice – maybe it’s not the best value but it’s a choice – it’s not forced on you. It’s there if you want it. You don’t have to wait for the DVD – no driving to the store and it’s in stock.
