Yahoo! News – Google Surges Past EBay as Valuation Debate Rages: Well it’s official. Google is now the highest valued internet company in the world after passing eBay up today in valuation based on their strong quarterly earnings report. At $56 billion Google is now larger than industrial stalwarts General Motors and Alcoa combined. In order to become the largest technology company in the world, however, Google still has a long way to go. Microsoft is currently valued at over $287 billion.
So what would it take for the Stanford drop outs catch up with the Harvard drop out?
