How about having Bots and Spiders Crawl all television content transcripts via closed captioned text?
Geeking with Greg: Query-free news search Greg Linden blogs about a new service people at Google are looking at to use television broadcast closed captions to tie with online relevent stories. An interesting idea and approach, but here’s something even more interesting. How about every televsion station releasing the full text of their programming via RSS or just on an internet site for viewing, let Google and the other search engines crawl it and come up with a whole new way to search television media. If the media really wanted to they could chare Google or Yahoo! or whoever to allow only their exclusive bots and spiders the ability to crawl the television transcripts resulting in a significant marketing differential for that search engine. Seems to make sense to me. What do you think?
