Neowin.net – Where unprofessional journalism looks better – Patent case challenges Microsoft’s ‘AutoPlay’ Thank goodness. Now maybe they can get them to take that horrid feature off of my PC. My good friend John and I were just complaining today about how everytime we plug our Maxtor drives in that the dreaded autoplay comes on. Let’s kill this feature. I hope that Microsoft loses this one and that the reparations are that they can’t use it anymore.
I normally don’t agree with patent law, but there could be an unintended benefit from this lawsuit. Nothing is worse then having to wait 5 minutes for it to try and launch everything in my collection. I’ve click on the take no action everytime, but it seems like Microsoft seems to ignore this everytime instead.
